Start with a
“what if?”
A question, a constraint, a weird reference, or a small problem worth solving.
Engineer by background. Experimenter by instinct.
I build unusual websites, make pixels move, and cut video until it feels right. Sometimes all three. Because apparently one tab wasn't enough.

Useful is good. Memorable is better. The sweet spot is when both happen at once.
I'm Anurag: a software engineer who keeps wandering into creative territory. This is where I test ideas, share the messy middle, and turn the ones that work into things people can actually use.
These are self-initiated concepts and studies—not pretend client work. Tap one to see the idea behind it.
Three disciplines. One curious brain. Bring me a problem with a little room to play.
Expressive websites and digital experiences that have a point of view—and still do the job.
Kinetic type, motion systems, and After Effects experiments that give ideas a pulse.
Rhythm, pacing, sound, and intentional cuts—because “just trim it a bit” is rarely the whole story.
I don't hide the messy middle. That's usually where the interesting part lives.
A question, a constraint, a weird reference, or a small problem worth solving.
Prototype, animate, edit, test, break something, and work out why it broke.
Polish the result, explain the decisions, and share what I'd do differently next time.
I'm a software engineer with a computer science background. I built websites years ago, then video editing and motion graphics pulled me further into the visual side of making things.
Brand That Guy brings those interests together: code, keyframes, cuts, and the occasional question that starts with “could this work?”
I'm building this in public—one experiment at a time. The work here will grow as I make it, and the process will be part of the portfolio.
Need a website, a motion piece, or a video with a little more personality? Or have an idea that's not quite normal? I'm open to interesting collaborations.
